About Ray Cavicchio

Ray’s musical career began in Hollywood at the age of 16 as a marimba artist on The Lawrence Welk Show. He left the show to pursue his education. After receiving his PhD from Tufts University, he used his engineering skills to invent and patent the “Cavichord,” allowing him to play the sounds of a full symphony orchestra with his fingertips.

Italian and Sicillian accordion music is the perfect traditional touch for your event. Introduced to America by early Italian immigrants, the accordion became a hugely popular instrument during the vaudeville era due to it’s potability.

Local accordion master Ray Cavicchio plays all the well- known favorites of the the great accordion boom of the 50’s. He’s a natural showman who strolls throughout the audience playing romantic melodies and taking requests. Your guests will be singing along to all their favorite songs. Ray has performed extensively with renowned Allesi Bros. Orchestra which specializes in the music of the original three tenors: Sinatra, Dean martin and Tony Bennett, as well as the jumping sounds of Louis Prima.
